The Mystical Forest
Just beyond the horizon in between the beautiful mountains lies a forest called Shanery Greene. To see the forest at first glance is deceiving for the beauty that dwells inside can not be seen unless it is entered.
Seen from a mountain, the forest appears dark and dismal, but if you are brave enough to venture into Shanery Greene you never know what wonders you may find.
The trees stand tall and full so mighty and plentiful they look as if they barely allow the sun’s rays through.
The greenery so rich in color with many types of grasses, ferns, moss and berry bushes.
Beautiful flowers of all types dwell within as well as all types of animal life.
Deep within the forest lies a beautiful pool of water. It is known as the Oracle Pool. They say that if you look into the waters, you’re true self will be seen. It has also been said that the waters, when touched, can show you things that will come in time.
Beautiful lilies, pansies, ferns and gerbera daisies surround the mystical waters.
Atop of one of the gerbera daisies sits the watcher of the waters.
Her name is Galena. A truly beautiful creature, a fairy being only a mere 6 inches tall. She looks so human, milky white skin, long red hair, enticing jade green eyes and her wings that look like the wings of a dragonfly.
With her mystical eyes, she can see for miles and the
vibration of her wings can sense danger. One look at her shows the beauty of
an angel. Many can feel their hearts racing for shelter, to avoid feelings
that can overcome them with passion. By herself, she begins to sing. A voice
so overwhelming with emotions that it can put a child to sleep and put tears
in lovers’ eyes. Her voice gave notice to the protector of the forest. His
name is Leotaurus. A mighty white lion that is chosen to guard the forest.
He has a large mane that surrounds his head with hypnotical golden eyes and
sharp pointed fangs that many fear. His powerful muscular body shows the
strength that no other would want to dare challenge. Galena continues to sing peacefully, not knowing she is being watched
Galena's wings begin to flutter rapidly she knows someone is watching. Slowly….she flies off of her toadstool and begins to look around. She stops for a moment as she believes she sees something out of the corner of her eye. She remains calm, sensing no danger. I know I just saw something in those bushes over by the oracle pool but I sense no danger.
Galena flies cautiously back towards the oracle pool. She sees movement in the bushes again. This time a set of golden eyes is noticeable.
Leotaurus, is that you? He begins to emerge out of the tall brush. I am sorry if I startled you m’lady. I did not mean to. Galena flies over to Leotaurus landing atop his huge head. With her tiny hands, she pats his head and begins to play with his beautiful mane. Oh you silly beast you. You know I do not fear you.
Enjoying Galena’s touch, they both hear something. Leotaurus rises and lets out a loud roar to let whatever may be there know he is aware of them and does not fear them. They walk through the forest a distance when they realize what they heard. Deep within the forest where the brush is very thick, they see a beautiful creature lying there. They know she is in pain and hurting. Slowly they walk closer. Galena soon knows what is happening. She flies over to the creature, a beautiful unicorn names Ariellia. She is about to give birth
